Running a gym in Kenya with SetGo
In Kenya, M-Pesa is how most gym fees are paid, through a Till or Paybill number, with cash and cards alongside. VAT is 16%, and VAT-registered businesses issue invoices through KRA's eTIMS. Gyms that hold member data may also need to register with the ODPC under the Data Protection Act 2019, depending on their size. SetGo keeps every M-Pesa, cash and card payment against the right member and plan, so month-end totals come from one list.
